This source was very helpful. It summerized all the key points and ideas of going green, and what it means to go green. It also gave adequate information on the background of going green, and about how to go green with cars (hybrids). Alot of the article had to do with the side of going green to help save gasoline/oil and how to cut gas costs by different types of cars.

this article gave me alot of facts, some i already knew but some i was surprised to learn about. One fact that really surprised me was that space heaters take up a great deal of energy to run. I always thought that they were like any other normal appliance. The fact that they use three times more energy then refriderators really surprised me.

This academic journal was breif. The article showed how a school in Napa Valley, California saved on buying a hybrid bus that also was able to not send as much emmision gas into the air. This article clearly showed that the hybrid bus was deffinatly a success and I think that all schools should get these hybrid buses.

The article I thought was helpful and made me realize that all schools should have these hybrid buses. I was surprised to know that there was even such a thing as a hybrid bus, and thought that it was a good thing to benefit the school. The higher gas milage in the buses could lead to the school being able to send students having the chance to have more feild trips to learn.

This article was from a magazine. It talked about different colleges in New York and what they have done to go green. For instance it talked about how SUNY Albany had an energy saving contest to see how much they could save, and ended up saving 25,000 dollars in electricity bills.

This article was very helpful for my question. This article showed me that as important as it is to teach younger students about energy conservation, even students in college can get involved and learn about how to help save the enviroment, whether its through contests on campus or not. This article showed me ways the Universities helped get students interested in energy conservation and how to help them care about the subject also.

Trainor, C. K. (2007). The Good 'Green.'. American School Board Journal, 194(10), 50-51. doi: Article.

This article was about how a school in New York decided to conserve energy and what policies they wanted to see pass. This included not only getting students informed and involved but also wanting to get the whole community involved. It also touched on what measures they could go to to help save energy and conserve naturual resources.

This article helped me alot. It showed that yet another school wanted to take part in the "going green"' process. It gave me details on how they wanted to conserve energy. I was surprised on how the board wanted to make sure that not only the school and students were involved, but how they got the whole community to be involved and save one energy.

Gramling, C. (2008). Students push for going green. Geotimes, 53(9), 55. doi: Article.

This article describes how a middle school "goes green" and is able to reduce their carbon footprint by twenty percent. To help them along with the process they were able to receive help by a non-profit organization based in Florida called Dream in Green inc. The program helped mainly in recycling and waste management, but also helped with things like solar pannel installation and other carbon print reducing methods.

This article was very helpful for my question. It showed me another way a school was able to "go green". I was surprised at how much the school was able to reduce their carbon footprint. It wasnt a huge number but it was deffinatly a significant amount that they reduced. However the article also did present alot of information i already knew about.
